THE WORLD ART NOUVEAU DAY IN BELGRADE

The exhibition “Art Nouveau – Freedom of Creation” will be officially closed on June 10, 2018 on the World Art Nouveau Day.  Whit the closing day programme the Beauty of Life Club and the Belgrade City Museum will be officially marking for the first time in Belgrade the World Art Nouveau Day together with the 50th anniversary of Jovan Cvijić Museum.

In word and image we will travel through the Art Nouveau, the time in which it was created, its specifics and characteristic in Belgrade architecture. We will enjoy in the documentary about Dragutin Inkiostria Medenjak, the father of design and applied arts in Serbia and the author of the interior design of the house of Jovan Cvijić.

The official celebration of the World Art Nouveau Day in Belgrade began with the opening of the photo exhibition “Art Nouveau – Freedom of Creation” during the Night of Museums (May 19th). Within the exhibition, three city walks were organized, and for the World Art Nouveau Day itself, a program was prepared at the Jovan Cvijić Museum.

Join us in the fascinating ambient of the Museum and enjoy in Art Nouveau through the stories and pictures.
